Thanks to everyone who submitted your stats from your June Writing Trackers, and thanks to those who came out the LA Meetup last week. I had a great time seeing some friendly faces, and meeting some of you for the first time in person. I know a discord (and especially a discord full of introverted writers) can feel like a difficult place to jump into, but that’s the whole reason why I put this place together. To make it a bit easier.
If you haven’t joined a meetup or a writing challenge or a discussion on the discord, like a cold pool, it’s best to jump in the deep end.
To start tracking and building your own writing habit along with us, you can get a free copy of the writing tracker here (each month has a tab at the bottom), and you can check in daily in the Writing Challenges thread on the discord server.
Leaderboard - June 2025
I’ll share the top 3 spots for each category. Because of ties, that means that some will share the same ranks.
Day Count / Streaks
This month we have a 2-way tie for first!
Dani Hanks - 30 Days (perfect streak!)
Heather Hemsley - 30 Days (perfect streak!)
Chris Amick - 28 Days
The Page Lords (Page Count)
Benjahmin Johnson - 62
(TIE) Kelsea Mayfield - 56.5 / Chris Amick - 56.5
Dorrian Hawkins - 56
The Time Lords (Hours Written)
Dorrian Hawkins - 54
Chris Amick - 50.75
Kelsea Mayfield - 28.45
On a personal note, I’m so pumped that I didn’t win any of these this month. It felt very weird taking one of the top spots last month as our first time doing this, but it also makes sense. I started this whole thing, its my full time job, I had a script to write on a deadline, etc. But this month, the community stepped up and I’m glad to see some new names on the board! Congrats!

Takeaways This Month
We had 2 less participants than last month, but the average pages per person remains really impressive at 51.9/person.
Does this mean that the people participating in the challenge are our most hardcore? Does it mean that entering the challenge MAKES you hardcore? Probably a bit of both.
That’s one number that I hope goes down while the others go up, because that would mean that more people are joining, tracking their numbers, and adding to the community hours and pages even if they aren’t pushing for the leaderboard.
I want to see if we can hit 20 members joining the challenge in August. That includes people who only were able to write for ten days that month, or 5, or 1. You’ve gotta start somewhere, and if you start tracking and giving yourself credit for the work you’re putting in, I think you’ll want to find more and more time to work on your projects.
That’s it!
If you’re new to Residuals, you can get your copy of the writing tracker here (each month has a tab at the bottom), and you can check in daily in the Writing Challenges thread on the discord server.
Just like in June, I’ll send out a google form to gather all of our July stats so we can all take a look and wrestle for the top spots. It’s not to late to start tracking your writing and add to our total page count for July.

Left in some formatting from last month - sorry folks! I'm a terrible editor. Just updated it.
