7-Week TV Pitch Development Starts Thursday!
Here's what we'll cover, and in 7 weeks you'll have a series pitch ready to go!
First of all, my heart goes out to everyone affected by these fires in LA. It’s been tragic seeing friends lose everything. My family has been safe and we’re monitoring the fires, helping our friends, and keeping our fingers crossed that things get better these next few days. And now, the strange task of continuing everyday work during a crisis!
The 7-Week TV Pitch Development class starts up this Thursday, and I’m really excited to teach this one again.
Last time I covered pitching features AND tv, but this time I wanted to focus entirely on developing and pitching TV series. There’s a lot to it, and this way I can spend more time in each lecture focusing on craft and tools you can use in this and all of your future pitches.
To me, this class is like working out (except much more fun). You don’t go to the gym, watch the trainer talk about how to lift weights a few times, and then go enter a bodybuilding competition because you know how to do it. You need to practice the techniques yourself, and give yourself time to tweak things and figure out what works best for you. Developing characters and stories, and pitching ideas clearly are all muscles that need to be strengthened over time and through practice. This class breaks down the elements and gives you the chance to practice each step while building your own series pitch.
So if you want to get your writing and pitching muscles ABSOLUTELY SHREDDED, join me for the class!
